BTT Tivissa - Vandellòs
Oil Mill
Explore an authentic 1930s mill with original machinery, millers' testimonies, and a film, offering an immersive olive oil journey with modern exhibits.
Under this name the Vandellòs Olive Oil Interpretation Centre is known; it is located in the village's former oil mill, built in 1930 beside the C44 provincial road, which runs from Hospitalet de l'Infant to Móra d'Ebre.
At the Mill you will not only find the original space and machinery of this mill, but you can also hear the testimony of the millers who have used it and watch a film from the 1970s showing the old mill in full operation.
In this authentic building, rehabilitated, restored and converted into an Olive Oil Interpretation Centre with modern museography (audio-visual panels, hyper-realistic resin figures, audio guides, sound installations), you can delve into the world of olive oil and discover the entire manufacturing process of this prized liquid.
