L'Hospitalet de l'Infant
A coastal town with pristine beaches, excellent facilities, and a history of hospitality dating back to a medieval hospital for pilgrims.
The towns of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant and Vandellòs form part of the same administrative municipality, which does not mean they are identical. That is not the case. L'Hospitalet de l'Infant is right by the sea, a town caressed by the breeze and lapped by the waves, whereas Vandellòs lies a little further inland, as if they were two sides of the same coin. The coastline of L'Hospitalet features virtually pristine beaches where you can listen to the sound of the waves while breathing in the valley air, whereas the beaches closest to L'Hospitalet are a marvel of facilities and services. As if all that were not enough, L'Hospitalet has been a welcoming place since ancient times. In fact, the town's name comes from the medieval hospital that was built to accommodate pilgrims and travellers.
